Kona Beach Park is located off the Trans Canada Highway in the Central area of Newfoundland, just minutes from the town of South Brook. Kona has a beautiful natural beach and magnificent Birch Trees. We are a quiet family orientated park with a playground and games room for the kids. A Horse Shoe Pitch that's enjoyed by both young and old alike. Enjoy our new Mini Golf it's sure to be a hit with the whole family. We offer large level pull-thru sites that can accommodated the largest RV's with ease. There are back ins for trailers and beautiful grassy tent sites. Our picnic area has parking for 200 cars. Water and electrical hook ups are available, wash rooms, hot showers, laundry facilities and a dumping station . With fire pits on every site, wood delivery (and Gord's fire lighting expertise) a campfire can be enjoyed by all. The flower gardens are beautiful and if asked, Bonnie may give up some of her gardening secrets. We have paddle boat and canoe rentals. Canteen and take-out.
For those that enjoy fishing there is a licensed salmon river and a large trout fishing lake in the park ( ask Thad where all the really big fish are). We are less than 50 Km's from a fish market in the town of Triton, where you will find our famous Newfoundland lobsters. The drive through the small fishing communities of rural Newfoundland will be well worth the trip.
Avail of the many hiking trails in the area. See the unsurpassed view of Green Bay atop the Alexander Murray Hiking trail in Kings Point. Try the Hazelnut Hiking Adventure Trail in Roberts Arm, this is a 10Km looped trail that has a combination of boardwalk, steps and gravel. There is also the Maple Ridge Hiking Trail in Triton.
